HEALTH AND SAFETY
COMMITMENT:
3D Earthmoving considers Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to be a vital part of our business. In order to achieve our vision goal, our OHS policies, procedures and standards need to be of the highest possible quality. We achieve our objectives through the ongoing development and implementation of a documented and systematic Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). Our system includes the establishment of standards, supporting procedures, safe work practices, guidance information and a strategic Risk Management System. Consultation and communication with employees at all levels is an integral part of our OHSMS.To maintain our commitment in our OHSMS, we develop objectives, goals, and key performance indicators (KPI's) to assist us in monitoring OHS performance for future improvement. 3D provides the training and resources, including the upgrading of skills required to exceed our OHS obligations.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBLITIES:
Managers and supervisors have designated work areas that they are responsible for. This responsibility includes the constant promotion of safety, instruction, communication of information, and guidance material as required to allow employees to perform their work tasks safely. Managers and supervisors are also responsible for ensuring that all 3D policies, procedures and standards are adhered to, including those of whom we are contracted to. Also, to strongly encourage the involvement of the work group they are responsible for. Management and Supervisors must also promote a “No Blame” attitude.
EMPLOYEE AND CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLITIES:
Employees are responsible for adhering to all 3D OHSMS requirements including, working in a safe manner so as to not adversely affect fellow workers, customers or visitors, participate in safety inductions and training. Employees must follow instruction and direction and report any hazards, both real and potential, incidents, accidents, including vehicle damage, and any other OHS issue to their supervisor under a “No Blame” environment.
